Sometimes you just need to feel crappy! Okay. Honor that. However, if you want to change your mood, there are some simple, concrete ways to make a shift. Sometimes a small shift is all that is necessary to make a difference. There is lots of science on how the simple act of smiling can change your mood, but other activities can also lead to a change in mood.
Here are a few that work for me:
*Roll your shoulders back and down–get them out of your ears!
*Wiggle a little
*Stop. Take three long, slow, breaths–feel the breath as it moves through your body
*Google some mindfulness quotes!
*Go outside, stare at trees
